The Lover Book Tag

When Vicky announced she’d created a Lover inspired book tag, I just knew I was going to love it! I’ve been a fan of Taylor Swift since watching the Love Story music video on tv those many, many years ago!

The rules;

1. Give credit to the creator which is Vicky!

2. Tag 5 friends: I’m not too sure who out of my friends are T. Swift fans so if you are.. you’re tagged!

3. Have fun!

I Forgot That You Existed – A book on your TBR that you’d completely forgotten about.

My TBR is huge so there’s easily loads of books I keep forgetting. For this prompt I’ll go for The Raven Boys, Maggie Stiefvater’s upcoming release reminded me I have yet to read this series!

Cruel Summer – A Perfect Summer Read

I have to agree with Vicky, contemporary books are always my favourites to read during the summer. If I had to choose a specific book or series I’d go for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han.

Lover – Your Favourite Book/Series

Harry Potter – no contest.

The Man – An Amazing Female Character

Katniss Everdeen has been and continuous to be my inspiration, she’s such a compassionate and powerful young woman.

The Archer – A book from your childhood because you never grew up

Harry Potter might be the only series I read as a child that I’m still reading now. I do want to read The Chronicles of Narnia again soon though.

I Think He Knows – A book everyone knows you love!

Umm.. Harry Potter!

Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince – A book that makes you so sad you could paint the town blue

Ah, I must admit I don’t read very sad books often as I do try to avoid them! A Pocketful of Stars by Aisha Busby made me cry, it’s such a beautiful book.

Paper Rings – Your favourite OTP

Kaz & Inej, I love them!

Cornelia Street – A book that lived up to the hype

Strange the Dreamer, most definitely! I can’t believe I DNF this book the first time I picked it up.

Death by a Thousand Cuts – A book that saying goodbye to is death by a thousand cuts so you just have to re-read it again

Deathly Hallows, I cry every single time, multiple times throughout.

London Boy – A book based in London

A Darker Shade of Magic counts right? Though that’s still on my TBR too!

Soon You’ll Get Better – A book that brightens up your sky

The Tea Dragon Society graphic novels, such glorious books!

False God – A book that you could reread over again because it still does it for you, babe

The Grisha trilogy, The Darkling is everything!

You Need to Calm Down – An LGBTQ+ book you’d GLAADly recommend

Birthday by Meredith Russo, I’ve been recommending this book to everyone since I read it back in May! Also, The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta is a huge favourite too.

Afterglow – It’s Not the Book, It’s Me (A book that wasn’t for you)

Oooh, a tricky one, let’s go for Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman. I didn’t like this one at all unfortunately.

ME! – A Character You Relate To

I think I’ll have to go with Hermione Granger, we’d both happily live in the library if we could!

It’s Nice to Have a Friend – A Character You’d Love to be Friends With

Leah from Leah on the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli, I’d be friends with the entire group if I could.

Daylight – A book that you weren’t sure of at first but turned out to be amazing!

Step Sister by Jennifer Donnelly, loved it!

Bonus: Favourite Taylor Swift Album

Oooh, 1989!

A huge thank you to Vicky for creating such a fun challenge!

Bookishly yours,

Hâf
