Six for Sunday

Six for Sunday 8.12.19

The Six for Sunday challenge is hosted by A Little But A Lot. The prompt for today is six books you’d give as a gifts! This is such a fun prompt, I’ll try to explain why I’d give the books as gifts as well. Here are my six;

1. Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling

Of course I would gift my all time favourite series to anyone and everyone if I could, especially to young readers who haven’t had the opportunity to devour these magical books yet.

2. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

THUG is such an important book and I would ask everyone who hasn’t read it yet to read it.

3. State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury

A very underrated duology which I loved, I would gift this book to a fan of politics and hope they love it as much as I do.

4. Heartstopper by Alice Oseman

I recently gifted Vol 2 to myself, I adore this graphic novel series and would recommend it to anyone.

5. The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta

A beautiful book told through verse which deserves so much praise, this is a book that should be read by all as it deals with so many issues and themes in a subtly educational manner.

6. Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman

I first read this series about ten years ago and it had such a huge impact on the way I viewed the world. I would hope to give this book as a gift and for it to have the same positive effect.

And there’s my six for Sunday!

Can you think of six books you’d give as gifts?

Bookishly yours,
