I recently saw this book tag on Elaine Howlin’s blog and thought it looked like a fun one to do!
Find a book for each of your initials:
H – Havenfall by Sara Holland
E – Even if We Break by Marieke Nijkamp
D – Dear Martin by Nic Stone
Count your age along your bookshelf: What book do you land on?
The Dragon Republic by R. F. Kuang, the 27th book on my shelves.
I haven’t read The Poppy War series yet, but the entire trilogy is on my TBR for this year sometime.
A book set in your city/country?
Happy Families by Julie Ma. This is a novel I’ve only recently discovered but it’s supposedly set in rural Wales, which is very exciting as English books set in Wales are very rare, but set in rural Wales is an even bigger novelty!
A book that represents a destination that you’d love to travel to?
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Majority of the books I read are either fantasy, sci-fi or set in the UK or the USA so this was definitely a tricky question! But Paris is somewhere I have yet to visit so this book came to mind.
A book that’s your favourite colour?
Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody, a lovely red book cover.
Which book do you have the fondest memories of?
Northern Lights by Philip Pullman.
I read the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman over a decade ago, but it is still one of my favourite book series’ of all time and seeing it adapted into an incredible TV show has brought back fond memories of discovering the amazing worlds and characters in the books.
Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?
Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson was a very difficult book for me to read, it’s a brilliant book that focuses on very important but heart-breaking topics.
Which book on your TBR will give you the most satisfaction to finish?
The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, I started this book about a year ago but I never managed to continue with it past part 1. So this year I’m going to try again, because I really did enjoy the story but the overall size really intimidated me!
